Boersch is just the cutest village with great boulangerie offerings and serves as the best location to explore Colmar and the other villages with ease. “A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Alsace – A Truly Memorable Stay Our stay at Apartment 1499 in Domaine La Commanderie was nothing short of magical. This charming, family-run hotel is nestled in the heart of the Alsace wine route, in the beautiful village of Boersch – a peaceful, picturesque place that feels like it’s been taken from a postcard. The apartment itself was exceptional: cozy, spotlessly clean, and tastefully modern. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality bedsheets and towels to the lovely, fragrant soap and fully equipped kitchen. Everything in the apartment is brand new, and you can truly feel the care and love that went into making it a warm and welcoming space. The environment is incredibly serene – when you open the windows, you’re greeted by birdsong and the scent of blooming flowers. The garden was another highlight – a peaceful little paradise where our children spent hours playing and enjoying the outdoors. They loved it so much they didn’t want to leave! Just a short two-minute walk away, there is an excellent bakery and a delightful local restaurant – perfect for morning croissants or an evening meal. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts, Julie and her husband. They were always available, incredibly kind, and full of wonderful recommendations. Their warm hospitality made us feel like more than just guests – we left with the sense that we had made new friends. We would return in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend Domaine La Commanderie to anyone seeking a peaceful, inspiring escape in one of France’s most charming regions. This place is a true slice of heaven.”

“Beautiful apartments, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The old building housing the apartments is stunning and the courtyard garden so peaceful. Our excellent hosts were very welcoming and gave great local advice on trips, restaurants etc. Bœrsch is lovely. We sampled the boulangerie and the Schtampfel restaurant (superb). Surrounding area has beautiful medieval villages and towns and some fabulous hiking routes. Highly recommended.”

I came with my 6 weeks baby and they prepared everything for her (baby bed, bath, changing table, even bottle warmer !!) stay here you will not regret it !”

“We had an outstanding two night stay in Studio 24. Highly recommend this property! You won’t be disappointed. The apartments are elegant and luxurious yet still livable. The design aesthetic is top notch. The details (ie: towels, mattress, bedding) are perfectly executed. You feel like you’re in a modern day castle. It’s wonderful. Layer in the service excellence from Julie and Benoit - La Commanderie becomes something special. The town of Bœrsch is quaint. Though small, there is a great boulangerie and restaurant in town. Best of all, the surrounding villages are easily accessible by foot, bike or car. You get the best of both worlds here. I’d highly recommend to anyone considering. This place is both fresh and historical; far better than the other options if staying in worn out, kitschy tourist hotels. Thank you Julie and Benoit!”

“Wonderful stay on the Alsace Wine Route. Julie and Ben have meticulously restored this beautiful historic building. We enjoyed staying in Studio 14, which was nicely decorated and had good quality linens and towels. The access to the laundry room next door to our studio was much appreciated. It was a pleasure to spend time in this charming part of France with such a friendly family.”
